Wow, thank you to everyone for giving me good advice on how to replace the end link. It seems like I am down to finding some grade 8 all thread or bolt or having a piece of rolled steel machined and threaded at both ends.

Here is my follow-up question? If I replace the end link on the right side back chassis do I need to also replace the left side back end link with a duplicate of what I put together or had machined? Does it make a difference if it is a homemade grade 8 end link on one side and the OEM one on the other side? Or is this not a problem? I would love to hear your thoughts?

Cheers!

I would say it is all about the completed length and the fact that you replaced also the bushings for both sides otherwise you'd be walking with a short leg

Yes, both sides need to be the same.

You shouldn't need any machine shop work. You will need the all thread or bolt, fender washers and a "sleeve" to properly space out the "middle".

You should be able to find a sleeve that you can just cut with a hack saw that will just fit over the all thread/bolt but act as end stops for the fender washers.

The sleeve could be something as simple as a piece of 3/8" or 1/2" pipe cut with a hack saw.

Yup, as long as the ID fits over the bolt/allthread and the OD "spaces out" the fender washers it will work fine. This AIN'T ROCKET SCIENCE.
