Seems that the breaker that runs my rear slide on my 2000 Harney Renegade is having fits, 13.5 volts in 8v out. Bypassed the breaker and the slide works.

Question is anybody know the proper amperage, I cleaned off the corrosion on the case and can't find any markings. Guessing it was printed instead of stamped.

Even better if someone knows the proper number, I am guessing its something like this but I am seeing different models.

To determine the amp rating of the breaker needed for your slide:

1.) Put a fuse holder in the bypass wire.
2.) Operate the slide starting with a 5 amp fuse in the fuse holder, (which will likely blow the fuse).
3.) Continue testing.... each time using a higher amp fuse, (until operating the slide no longer blows the fuse).
4.) Use a breaker with the amp rating of that fuse.

Fuses/breakers are sized to protect the WIRE. What gauge wire goes to the slide motor?

Alternately, if you have an ammeter, verify how many amps it does draw (yes, that assumes it is operating as designed).

Thanks for the input, seems that most of the coach is wired with the same guage and blue connectors, guessing its 14. But for the rear slide the power in is smaller then the power out, guessing its 10, so that doesn't make much sense.

I am going to try a 20 amp breaker, the wire should support that without any issues. Looking around at slide motors they seem to be rated at 15 amps.

since all the wires leaving the bus bar are the same size I am guessing that all the breakers are probable the same size as well. Tomorrow I will be able to test when the breakers show up.

20amp seems to be working, slide in and out no problem.

Well probably put an amp meter on it and see how close to capacity I am hitting.
