I was having a problem with my key and no start but it was intermitten. I changed the ignition switch and thought it was good but it is doing it on current trip.
I will be checking wire's to see if I can find anything.
Also if I hold the key to start it will kick in sometimes.

Bob,

There is a small starter solenoid somewhere near the area where the battery and service compartments are. That solenoid looks similar like the old mustang starter solenoids. It could be going bad or you could have some wire corrosion issues.
Have you tried to see if the issue can be replicated using the start button that is in the service bay compartment?

Bob,

If/when the problem comes back, check and see if the Allison shift pad is lit up during the starting issue.

I will keep an eye for it John, but I know the steps go in and normal lights on dashlight up. I guess I don't look at Allison pad.
Mel isn't that the solenoid to supply power toth fuse box?

Bob,

That solenoid that Mel posted does supply power to one of the fuse boxes, but only when the ignition gets turned on.

Well this just got interesting. I decedidec to replace the 3 way switch in the service bay. It is a 3 way 6 pole. I thought I could swap it with a 3 pole, when I turn the ignition to the ACC position, the engine would fire up. Problem is im sure the starter is still going as well. Gonna have to.order a 6 pole switch. Thinking thr switch may be bad and was stuck in the back position.

It was the solenoid, replaced it with this one. It is the same one I used when I replaced the front solenoid.
It was on the wall at foot of bed

I had a similar issue. No start with key but would start in service bay. I fixed my issue by cleaning and squeezing clips to tighten some fuses that are right above the batteries. They are barrel like fuses between two spring clips. The are four of them in a row with no markings. It was easy so it might be worth taking a look.
