95 Safari 35' with Onan 6300 propane generator. When I try to start it runs very rough and get smell of propane then stops. Seems like it is flooding out. Does this setup use liquid or vapor and would it have a float bowl with possible needle stuck? Having trouble getting someone to correctly diagnose issue. Thanks

Look at your propane tank. Do you have only a VAPOR port with a hose attached OR do you also have a LIQUID port. If liquid, that will be for the generator.

If liquid, next is to look in the generator compartment itself and see if there is an external propane regulator or if it is inside the generator itself.

Then we may be able to direct you.

Regulator will then be on top of the gennie towards the left and a hose leading to the carb. As the fuel is already in a gaseous state it does not use the carb bowl. I did down load a manual by putting in the model and serial # complete with the "series" letter into a search engine (google) and was able to get a complete manual. I did rebuild the carb anyways as well as the filter and solenoid valve where the propane attaches to the gennie. Some tweeking and mine works
