Onan 6300

95 Onan 6300 lp generator runs when starter button is held in. Took to shop and said bad voltage regulator. Replaced and ran ok but only 49 volt. Then was told bad stator or rotor. Can’t remember. Not sure I want to put that much into it. At least got money back for regulator. Any advice?

Here is a link to fellow Safari owners that had their rotor rebuilt. Maybe seeing the process and knowing the approximate cost will help you make an informed choice on what to do. Buying a used unit from an RV salvage yard might be a good option too, or looking on FB Market Place or Craigslist for a good used unit.
