Water Heater

Post by Safari98 »

We have recently purchased a ‘98 Safari Trek which love and are and are still learning about. On our most recent trip the water heater stopped working. It had been working the night before but we had the electrical plug on our main power connection overheat (a whole other story which we took care of).

But since then our water heater refuses to ignite. Looking for hints about what to try, check or replace☹️.

Assume your water heater will not ignite on propane.

The water heater control and ignitor as well as gas valve all work on 12 VDC.

What is house bank voltage?

Have you checked for the presence of 12 VDC to the water heater?
